Managing Partner & CEO

Yoav brings over 30 years of experience providing successful financial and operating leadership. He is an innovative negotiator and dealmaker, with proven ability to uncover and implement unique and workable solutions for challenging business situations. Yoav has a special combination of Fortune 500, public mid-size company, consulting and start-up experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, Negotiation, Strategic Planning, International Finance, Restructuring, Business Development, Team Building, and Business Analysis & Management.

Yoav co-founded NYC Advisors, LLC in 2003. Since then, Yoav has served as CEO of a plastic lumber company; as CFO & COO of a publicly held medical device company, and as a consultant, mentor and business advisor to numerous other companies.

Yoav is a partner and a board member at Stark Business Solutions, Inc., Mentor & Member of Baruch College Executive on Campus Advisory Committee and a former board member of the American Red Cross Metro NY North. Yoav holds a BBA and MBA in Finance from Baruch College In New York.

Partner

Ella Scheinwald is a well-respected executive and business strategy advisor with over 25 years of experience who specializes in facilitating client problem solving. Her techniques and expertise empower executives, managers and other professionals to define clear objectives and strategies, work efficiently, improve communication skills, foster team dynamics, define visions and be a motivating and inspiring force in their organizations. In the process, clients receive the support, challenge and motivation to attain greater fulfillment and better results in their endeavors. Their leadership is strengthened and solidified.

Ella graduated from the Sorbonne University in Paris with a BA and Masters Degrees, and completed another MA and a Post-Graduate Degree at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She is a certified business and personal mediator.

Jack Zeman

Senior Advisor

Jack Zeman has over 30 years’ experience as a controller, VP of finance, and CFO. He  started his career working as a public accountant,  including at a big four accounting firm. Throughout his career,  he has developed a deep understanding of a variety of industries, including service, retail, manufacturing, distribution, human resources, and consulting.

Prior to joining NYC Advisors as a Senior Advisor, Jack was a controller of a $50 million enterprise, where he actively contributed to the due-diligence process and the successful sale of the business to an ESOP.

Jack is proficient in a variety of accounting and ERP systems, such as QuickBooks, Sage, Intacct, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.  He has orchestrated seamless transitions for various companies migrating to new accounting and ERP systems. Recognized for his analytical abilities, and he can assist in analyzing and addressing complex tax and accounting issues.

Jack graduated from Cleveland State University, earning a BBA in accounting, and is an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). His accomplishments extend to being a two-time awardee of the Ohio Weatherhead, an accolade celebrating entrepreneurial excellence. He is a Member of OSCPA and AICPA professional organizations.

William Bailer

Senior Operations & Finance Advisor

Bill has over 30 years’ experience in Accounting & Finance, Sales & Marketing, IT, and Operations and Supply Chain management in a variety of industries. Throughout his career, Bill has effectively delivered consistent and measurable growth and profitability results through human capital development, financial performance analyses, reengineering and optimization of financial and operational processes, marketing & business development, strategic plan design and KPI implementation.

Bill’s expertise includes:

  • CFO services, including supervision of cash management, cost accounting, financial statement preparation & analyses, Board presentations, corporate budgeting as well as breakeven and contribution margin analysis
  • COO responsibilities for international supply chains, inventory and safety stock optimization, LEAN distribution continuous processes improvements, and research and implementation of IT infrastructures including SDLC, ERP, TMS, YMS, LMS, EDI and recovery strategies
  • CIO Leadership of SDLC IT strategies for implementation and maintenance of ERP, LMS, WMS, TMS IT systems as well as EDI, XML, RGP for electronic order delivery as well as Amazon and Shopify services and virtual reinstallation server systems for crises management

Bill has a BS degree in Chemistry from Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and an MBA and an Ecommerce Certificate in Strategy & Marketing from Columbia University.

Senior Advisor

Yoram is a strong Financial leader, team player, strategic thinker and an excellent communicator, with over 25 years of experience working with small and mid-size, U.S. based and international public and private companies. Yoram’s experience includes working in different industries, such as software and SAAS, Fintech, biotech, healthcare, and services. He successfully led numerous financing and M&A transactions as seller and as buyer, including two successful IPOs.

As a Chief Financial Officer, Yoram specialized in high growth companies, and his responsibilities included Finance, Investor Relations Human Resources, Legal and IT. Yoram also worked with Ventures Capital and Private Equity backed companies, where he presented at Road Shows, Investor conferences and communicated with the analysts and the Buy Side communities.
